Malika Haqq recently shared news of her pregnancy, complete with a Clear Blue pregnancy test sponsored Instagram post (rolls eyes). This will be her first child, so congrats to her!
Along with the post came the obvious questions about her baby daddy. Malika has been in an on-again, off-again relationship with O.T. Genasis, and it was finally confirmed via US Weekly that he’s indeed the baby’s father.
Malika Haqq and O.T. Genasis have managed to keep the juicy details about their relationship relatively private, but we were able to find some information about their dating history.
Flirting with danger
Malika Haqq began her time in the spotlight as an actress, and she has appeared in many movies, including ATL. Years later, she was dubbed Khloe Kardashian’s assistant and has been featured on numerous episodes of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
As she grew tired of the assistant gig, Malika quit on an episode of KUWTK and found herself upgraded to the role of Khloe’s BFF. Although this was a win for her, things weren’t always easy for the dynamic duo. Khloe and Malika faced a bit of tension as cameras caught Khloe’s brother, Rob Kardashian, and Malika constantly flirting. According to People, the duo never entered a formal relationship.
Malika Haqq’s alleged history with married men
Just when you think you’re doing the right thing by leaving your best friend’s brother alone, you go and date a married man. Okay, he was technically separated, but still. It wasn’t a good look when Malika began messing Arizona Cardinal’s Adrian Wilson. The former NFL star opened up to Vibe and mentioned that the very short-lived relationship was poorly represented on the reality series. In the end, Malika found herself single again, with Adrian renewing his vows to his wife a year later. Ouch.
The next time we’d hear about Malika’s love life is when she was linked to Lionel Du Fon “Chinx” Pickens, a member of French Montana’s group, The Coke Boys. Chinx was still legally bound to his wife, Janelli Pickens, according to the Daily Mail.
In an interview with DASH Radio, Chinx was asked if the relationship between the two was staged or authentic. He shared that “everything we do is natural on this side”. While they didn’t go the long haul, news broke that Chinx was gunned down in 2015, sending waves of sadness to fans near and far. Malika found herself in the middle of a lot of shade when his wife addressed her and other women after his untimely passing.
Fun fact: Chinx was also linked to newly married Love & Hip Hop New York star, Erica Mena.
Fist pumping her way into another breakup
While filming for E!’s show, Famously Single in 2016, Malika was linked to her co-star and Jersey Shore alum, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro. While they were on the show to find their own love interests, People mentioned that the two wound up choosing one another instead.
Malika told E! Online: “I think that we define opposites attract,” while Ronnie told the media outlet they had the same “sense of humor.” But in the end, it didn’t last.
After their relationship’s demise, Ron-Ron told E!: “The biggest difference I think is just that we came from two different worlds” and added they were like “oil and water.”
Malika, on the other hand, told People “his love language is very aggressive. It’s verbally aggressive, it’s physically aggressive. It’s just the way he expresses himself.”

And then there was Odis “O.T. Genasis” Flores. The Atlanta native hit the scene with his first big hit, “CoCo.” Somewhere along the way, in 2017, many sources believe he and Malika made things official…right after he allegedly dumped Basketball Wives star Malaysia Pargo.
The rapper admitted on Facebook in March 2018 that he’s “always in trouble” with Malika, and they’ve had numerous public breakups.
Apparently, all the back and forth was a sign of a more pressing issue. Malika Haqq and O.T. Genasis ended their two-plus year union in early 2019 when Malika posted a picture with the caption “single,” according to People.
And baby makes three
In a Sept. 27, 2019 Instagram post, Malika announced her pregnancy. Alongside an image of a positive pregnancy test, she wrote, in part: “I listen to my heart, and I’ve decided that the rest of my life will be the best of my life. I’m pregnant! I didn’t know when, I just knew one day. God said it’s my turn, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the little spirit that grows inside of me.”
She’s reportedly due sometime in 2020. Us Weekly confirms that although they’ve broken up, O.T. Genesis is the father of her unborn child. The rapper has remained mum in regards to the pregnancy rumors.
