Everybody knows *Phaedra voice* that reality television shows lead to the death of most marriages. Remember this list I compiled of all of the Real Housewives marriages that have ended in divorce (list is here)? These shows are like the kiss of death and still, celebs and regular joe schmo nobodies line up to pretty much have their marriages and lives ruined.
When I heard that Keyshia Cole and her new husband Daniel “Booby” Gibson would be returning to BET to film their “Keyshia & Daniel: Family First” reality show, all I could do was shake my head. Keyshia has her music career that is up and down but she is still cranking out the hits nonetheless and Booby is reportedly making $4.04 million a year with the Cleveland Cavaliers. This makes me wonder, what the hell do these two need a low budget BET reality show for? BET cannot be paying them enough money to embarrass themselves and splatter their marital problems on our television screens.
Although I am a reality t.v. fanatic, I sometimes wonder what possess some of these stars to want to spread it open wide for the television cameras. A reality show should not be a rite of passage for any married couple because if anything, it seems to dig up issues and shine a huge spotlight on them. Would Keyshia and Booby be having marital problems if they didn’t have a camera in front of their faces? Most likely. But, would the issues be highlighted and exemplified in combination with the reactions and comments from outsiders like myself? Most definitely.
In all, I don’t think that a television show will do any good to the Gibson household. Keyshia’s next album will most likely flop just like her last one and Booby’s contract with the Cav’s will be ending this year and he won’t be resigning with them due to his injuries. So, what do Keyshia and Booby get from displaying their personal problems on a television show? We may never know.

I think they will be fine. They have a a great relationship and they are both very religious. They want to keep their family together no matter what.
I'm sure they want to keep their family together but, being religious has nothing to do with it. You have to have commitment, trust and communication (which they both have agreed they both lack). I wish the best for them….but, I don't know! Reality Heaven is usually Reality Hell!
