Are you still considered a basketball wife if your husband doesn’t play basketball?
Basketball Wives L.A.’s star Malaysia Pargo was seen getting her hustle on in the past few episodes of the new season of the show. From a jewelry line to trying to get her foot in the entertainment world of acting and voice overs, many fans were curious as to why MayMay was racking up so many jobs when her husband was already bringing home $1.23 million on the basketball court. Well, maybe ol’ girl is smarter than she speaks appears because those multiple side jobs might come in handy now.
Malaysia’s husband, NBA player Jannero Pargo was just cut from the Washington Wizards basketball team today. Pargo has been underperforming for the team and only averaging three points per game. After being bounced around the NBA and playing for eight different teams as well as playing overseas in Russia, it looks like Jannero’s time in the NBA might be coming to an end. It will be interesting to see if another team scoops him up or if he will be forced into retirement.
More after the jump
Malaysia isn’t the only wife that is dealing with an unemployed husband. Laura Govan’s baby daddy Gilbert Arenas was cut by the Memphis Grizzlies at the end of last season (story here) but he has allegedly signed a deal with the Shanghai Sharks in China.
Malaysia and Laura’s stories are even more parallel since rumors are also swirling that both ladies in addition to Gloria Govan and Brooke Bailey, have been fired from the Basketball Wives L.A. series (story here). I bet they regret hiding their personal lives from the cameras now!
When it rains it pours! I am praying for the Pargos and Arenas.
I'm sure they will be fine.
Jannero lookin kinda fwwwinnneee (in my Kenya voice)
