UPDATE: Monique has confirmed on Instagram that she and Chris are doing just fine. It looks like this report by People magazine was nothing but a bunch of fake news!
Original story: Former Real Housewives of Potomac star Monique Samuels and her husband Chris are separating after 10 years of marriage.
Monique and Chris were spending time together with their three children as recently as September 18, according to her Instagram account. However, multiple sources confirmed to People magazine that their marriage is over.
After getting booted from RHOP after season five, Monique told Entertainment Tonight, “People always say that reality TV tears your marriage down. What people don’t realize is that Real Housewives of Potomac actually in some ways saved my marriage.”
Monique admitted she and Chris were in a “really rough place” before joining the Bravo reality series.
They have since joined the cast of Love & Marriage: D.C., where their marital issues were on full display. The couple vowed to use the show to strengthen their marriage but, sadly, things didn’t work out.
Monique and Chris join Tia Mowry and Cory Hardrict, and several other celebrity couples that have decided to throw in the towel in 2022.
